Jiří Georg Dokoupil - bubbles
For the first time, the bechter kastowsky gallery in Schaan is showing works by the Czech-born artist Jiří Georg Dokoupil in 1954. Known as a representative of the Young Wild Ones in the 1980s, Dokoupil now has his works in the most prestigious collections and exhibits all over the world.
A selection from his "bubbles" series is shown. Using soap foam and pigment, the picture is created without the aid of brushes. The superimposition of the individual soap bubbles creates a three-dimensional effect that radiates calm and monumentality.
